1) This relates to the 'search' feature on the X30, which I use a lot of the time. I feel there is an issue. This example will illustrate the problem. The song 'Yesterday' by The Beatles has been covered/recorded by almost 2,000 artists. I have about 35 different recordings in my collection. If I use the 'title' option to search for the song, the X30 will offer me that list of 35 different versions (obviously plus any other song with the word yesterday in the title). If I then want to hear the version by, say Tom Jones, I have to press the down button and then the info button on the remote each time to try to locate that particular recording. Very time consuming especially if it was the last one on the list. Very helpful and useful would be to not just have the song title but in a column next to it, (where there is plenty of room) the artist who sings it. This would then speed up the search for that song.
2) Another suggestion, and one I feel would be extremely useful would be the ability to assign one's own functions to the F keys on the keyboard. For example I never use the F3 and F4 keys for changing the volume as I feed the X30 through my own amplifier which has its own remote volume control, so I would like to be able to assign a different function to those keys. I'd particularly like to have F3 as 'clock' and F4 as 'sort' so that I don't have to use the remote controller.
3) Finally, is there any chance of a day's session with an X30 expert in say a key location like London or Birmingham, where a group of CA owners could get together and discuss their tips, issues, concerns and suggestions with a key member(s) of Novafidelity personnel? (for which I'd certainly be happy to pay my share).
I'd be interested to hear anyone's views on any of the above (or any other suggestions for that matter).
