Whilst using my iPad to browse and play the database {which is my preferred input selector} on the latest version choice and I have auto update selected on the x12 {WiFi dongled} and I have 8.1xxx of apple OS I have come across an annoying omission - I think, if so I will re-post in suggested features. So I have selected genres of music, I select the genre from quite a long list, then I am in the list of say 30+ albums of that genre, I select an album, select views songs and I then pick one or two to play, all with the iPad. However when I want to go back to the albums in that genre where I have just viewed there is no button or anything to 'go back' on the screen of the iPad. I have tried the back on the browser this does not have the desired effect. So I have to start all over again, I select DB then genres, then the type of genre, then the albums again which is frustrating to get back to a previous list!!!

Hi hks
I'm assuming you're talking about the web interface here but if you could just confirm that would be great. Then I can then pass this on to the developers.
FYI - we are expecting a revised version of the web interface at some point in the next few months.
Kind regards, Jules

Thanks for the reply. Yes I am using the web interface which is great {although a 'search' by artist does not work most of the time - but that is another matter} and what I prefer to use for selecting tracks to playback. Lack of a 'back' button on the interface is quite frustrating.

Lack of a 'Back' button: This is really frustrating as it is also required in any long list of albums/artists etc. After scrolling down {or up from z} to S for example in Artists or Albums then selecting some tracks for play or playlist when I want to go back to S I cannot - there is no 'back'. So one has to start scrolling down a list all over again to get to S or near S for example!!!!

Apologies, I have been meaning to send this update for months now. The issue of no 'back' button has been sorted in the last firmware update - whilst there is still no 'back' button on the web interface on my IPad it is now not needed. The 'back' arrow on the IPad browser now works to give the previous interface screen, yippee!!! An end to my frustration.
Seriously the X12 is a cool piece of kit and I love it to bits, I have not regretted parting with my money for it and the web interface on the IPad is brilliant. ALL my music in one place in excellent high quality audio.
