My X30's developed a mind of its own and it's driving me round the bend. The problem (below) first appeared following firmware update 0147 and continued even when set the machine back to rev 0135.
The device was switching itself off no matter what it was doing but that seems to have been fixed after a file system fix. Now, it's decided that it likes to randomly switch itself on from standby and on the advice of Nova, I carried out the firmware recovery process. It continued to power up of its own accord and it did so even when the remote sensor was covered to block out signals from another (TV) remote control.
I've had the X30 switched off at the rear and unplugged for a couple of days and it now boots up when the rear power swicth is set to 'on' and without the remote control. It also switches back on after being switched off using the remote.
Any ideas?

Hi. Did you ever get this sorted because mine is now doing this too. Got latest firmware 0148 installed but the damn thing won’t stay in standby for long before switching back on.
Thanks

Sorry, I never saw your question hence no reply. I had it back to SCV and they couldn't see what might've been causing the problem. But, they replaced the standby switch and the switching on problem was resolved. However I've been experiencing problems with mother boards - as you'll sewbin my earlier post
