Hi
I loaded my existing files from a USB, but something went wrong and I now need to delete all of it.
How do I do this with one command instead of one album at a time (REALLY tedious!)?
Thanks
Eddie

Hi Eddie,
I use the X10 and the two ways that look possible are:
1) reformat the hard drive; or
2)a) view the albums in text mode (settings > MusicDB > album view > [select your choice]) 2)b) once the albums are in text mode, go into the MusicDB as if you're going to play an album 2)c) on the album, or albums, of your choice, press the RIGHT cursor button on the remote control. That should highlight the album(s) in red. Any highlighted albums can then be deleted (via menu on remote; scroll for delete option...)
True, method 2 means you still have to highlight all the albums individually but at least you don't have to delete one at a time. It may be sensible to just try a few initially to make sure it does what you want it to do.
I personally don't know of any single "kill" method but, hopefully, someone else may be able to offer something "instant".
Happy listening.

Hi Eddie Musicbod has outlined all of the available options we are aware of. Re-formatting the drive is nothing to be worried about. You get an option when going through this process on the X12 to choose Linux or NTFS, we recommend Linux. Formatting the drive just wipes the music and FreeDB (which can easily be re-installed, instructions here). Once it's done formatting it will start up as normal. Thanks Jules
