Hi, my X10 (previously running fine for years on FW1793) auto-updated to FW1805 today. Since then, the artists/albums/genres etc lists no longer displayed in alphabetical order making it impossible to locate and select specific items effectively. I tried to Force update back to a downloaded 1793 version but the X10 completes the update supposedly successfully and then just hangs on reboot. I then tried to force update back to a downloaded 1805 and it now just hangs and won't start the update process. Any suggestions to get out of this vicious circle please? Could NOVA please fix the latest update so that, assuming I can rescue my X10, I can get at my music again? Thanks Steve

OK, well after a few more attempts I managed to force update the firmware to 1805, and by reading a few more queries I realised that the 'Sort' button on the remote does what I needed, and its not FW1805 at fault. Doh/phew!

Please keep up the support for X10, its a great product, I have two and am still finding new uses for it! Getting album art back is great!

Hello,
Has anyone experienced issues with the Web Browser interface since upgrading to 1805 release . Despite re-enabling and reinstalling the web server I am unable to use the interface to amend playlists etc . I know my device is on line I can ping the IP address of the server from a Command prompt session and it does respond so the web server interface is up . Thank you in advance for any help you can off

I've experienced a web interface issue but not sure whether it's connected with firmware update. When trying to edit album art none of the search providers work and I couldn't even download a picture from file. I had to use the X10's in-built search facility instead. Other editing functions seemed to work fine.

Thank you for replying Jacko have you upgraded to R1805 and if so can you still access the X10 Music DB from a browser on your PC/Laptop albeit with the issue you describe . My issue is more fundamental I simply cannot access the X10's Music DB web interface from either my laptop or tablet since I upgraded even though I know its interface address is active and I can see the device's IP address being advertised. If you have upgraded and can access via an web browser did you have do do anything to get that to work or did it simply just work anyway without any intervention. Thank you for any advice/help.

My X10 came with R1760 and I have never changed to the new software on the grounds "... if it isn't broken, don't fix it...". Threads like this reinforce my view that all is best left well alone.

I've upgraded to R1805 and had no issues with connecting to the web interface on my Chrome browser (once I'd gone through my usual routine of finding out the specific IP address (last one or two digits) due to me not assigning a static address). The interface works fine but the lack of album art editing functionality is annoying. First time on the forum and I have to say that genuinely speaking I'm a massive fan of the product and Novafidelity service support. Best product I've bought for the money ever.

freedb was shut down at the end of march 2020. You can install the last archived version of the freedb, which will contain all of the submissions up to that date. There is a copy here: www.dropbox.com/sh/79u2p4eprkcydoc/AAAPrVi2OAYYl6rW8n2CtL0Xa?dl=0There are the installation instructions including a CRC check, which you can preview, plus the FreeDB.zip archive. Just be sure to download each file individually or you will end up with a zip file inside of a zip file.
