I have purchased an X12 in the last week and love what it can do. There is one thing that niggles me though. On the information for the album shows album name / artist but only if the artist on the album is the same. I have a number of compilations and I want to show when playing the artist (which will vary from track to track), the album name and the album artists which is "various artists". I'm struggling to work out how I can show this. Are there any tips that anyone can share please. Thanks.

Hi Rowney
Thanks for getting in touch.
I think I understand the first bit but it would be helpful if you could confirm. Essentially under the Music DB in 'Album' view compilations with tracks by different artists, should be listed 'Album Name / Various Artists', is that right? This is a very sensible suggestion and I will request this change for a future firmware release.
I am not sure I fully understand the second part i.e. 'I want to show when playing the artist (which will vary from track to track), the album name and the album artists which is "various artists".' If you could give me some more info here or explain it in a different way I can probably help. Are you referring to the playing screen?
Thanks, Jules

Sorry for delay in replying. I've been getting used to the X12 and trying various things on the web interface with renaming albums and artists. I'll try and clarify my issue.
As an example I import an album (say Abbey Road by the Beatles) on to the X12. On the web interface I see in bold the album name as "Abbey Road / The Beatles" with the name "The Beatles" underneath. Next I import an album such as R-Kive which has tracks on it by Genesis and others such as Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel. On the web interface I see an album name of "R-Kive" and that's it. There is no slash after the album name with the artist, neither is there an artist on the line underneath. This seems to happen when the album I'm importing has tracks by more than one artist on it.
At the moment I'm having to rename the album (in my example to "R-Kive / Genesis" but cannot find a way to post anything on the line underneath.
Ideally what I want to do is to be able to view album information in the way I can in Windows Media player. In WMP I could have a different artist name against each track, an album artist that relates to the whole album and an album title that does not include the artist name. I usually set this up using MP3Tag.
At the moment when I go in to Edit Album on the web interface there are blank boxes above Title, Album, Artist, Genre and Year above the track listings. Any changes I make in these blank boxes automatically changes the details entered against the individual tracks. For my purposes I want to be able to turn that automatic change off so it would be possible to have different information showing. That way I could set a generic artist for an album but still retain different artist names for the individual tracks.
