A large proportion of my CD ripping, the Album tag is including the Artist name
eg Album Name here / Artist Name - for the Album tag/name
Album Artist
(Everything I Do) I Do It For You (Single) / Bryan Adams Bryan Adams 0898 Beautiful South The Beautiful South 101 Damnations Carter, The Unstoppable Sex Machine 1992 - The Love Album / Carter USM Carter USM A Present For Everyone / Busted Busted
anything I can do other than the tedious process of editing them afterwards through the Web Interface?

Fortunately, it can be done on an album by album basis rather than track by track.
Try this (manual, with handset):
> Music DB
> using the left/right/up/down cursors, highlight the album for which the title is to be changed
> click "menu" key on the handset
> scroll to "rename", press OK on the handset (this will immediately show the album name in a text box, highlighted)
> click the right cursor key - this will make the cursor blink at the end of the title line (probably after the name of the artist)
> click the back arrow (NOT the left hand cursor) on the handset (below "7" on my X10 handset) to delete the alpha characters you would like deleted (such as the artist's name)
> click the down cursor key (this should highlight "OK")
> press "OK" on the handset
>>> renaming the album title will commence for every track in that album folder.
Et voilĂ . The album should be renamed.
For info, the idea behind adding the artist's name is (so I understand) in case of identical album titles by different artists. Also, it can be a handy memory jogger when casually browsing and finding little played albums and trying to remember who the heck a particular album is by. But, like you, I do delete the artist's name from most of the album titles.
