Individual tracks fail to rip while other tracks from the CD do. I am using freedb on the Internet. The track is recognized on disc insertion. Any ideas as to why this happens and what can be done about it?

Hi gminion. With the X10, I have found the error rate to be about 5%. There are a couple of options that come to mind:
1) Try ripping the "difficult" tracks individually, instead of the whole CD (this sometimes works, but not always).
2) Manual ripping on a PC, then importing via USB.
As with most optical drives, there will always be a few files / tracks that, for some reason, one particular drive won't scan properly. It's the same with the DVD/CD drive on my laptop.
If you need any pointers on manual ripping and amending metadata, post again and I'll see if I can offer some suggestions.

I have used option 2 since buying my X12 18 months ago as it gives me the option to tag edit with correct information and add artwork of my choice. Freed by has too many errors for classical music. Remember to rip in your preferred format as import to Db will not convert.
