My unit has been working fine since new but powering on I now get a volume of 100 which I cannot alter at all. Have tried factory reset but no help. Can anybody solve this please.

Hi, Give us a clue. Which output are you using and are you controlling with musicX neo?

I am using the speakers. However as soon as the unit is powered up, the volume bar comes up on the bottom of the screen with 100 on it. I cannot adjust the volume with either the remote or the controls on the unit.
Does this help?

In fact the volume bar appears to be a permanent feature of the screen at present, no matter what else I am looking at.

Check the vol+ button on the unit is not stuck down or the remote is transmitting all the time. (Remove batteries)
Failing that reload firmware.

Just a thought but have you by chance set the analogue out volume to Fixed in the audio setup as this sets to 0db. Max volume

As an update, I switched on the unit today and although the volume was at 100, I could adjust it and all is working correctly!
No idea why!!
Many thanks for the suggestions.

Hi, Great that all is now working. My unit sometimes fails to respond as it should and I power cycle including the rear switch for 1-2 mins. My belief is that on shutdown the memory is not cleared and on power up there is no memory initialisation resulting in a corrupt Linux kernel load and hence the odd lockup. Cheers Ian m-r
