Hi,
I've just installed a new HDD in an X12 I've purchased, the old disk was small and fullish.
I checked the X12 software, latest release. I've installed the new disk, re-installed Music dB from a back-up and can play tracks. My problem is the FreedB link seems to have gone. The unit is internet connected, or at least network connected as I have Samba running and can access the file system.
I looked up on installing FreedB but the site tells me that it is now all on-line.
Am I missing something obvious here?

Free db is only used when adding a new cd. If you have updated to 35/36 firmware from 24/28 you need to run recover to relink the data as the database was changed. When ripping the X12 will use the on line lookup if enabled. I have purchased a Gracenotes llicense as this has more entries and fewer errors than freedb. Cheers Ian m-r
